| The 2011 Heritage Day Celebration is named “Day of Service: A Fountain of Good in the World”, will take place on the JAYwalk, and will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 |
WELCOME! Heritage Day is an annual celebration of Ohio Wesleyan’s vast and fascinating history. Heritage Day was created to enrich the Ohio Wesleyan community and share the stories of the University’s past. Every year Heritage Day brings to life a department, building, event, or theme from Ohio Wesleyan’s history. We celebrate Heritage Day around November 13th to recognize the day the University officially opened in 1844. The event is planned by the Heritage Day committee, which includes faculty, staff, historians, students, alumni, and friends of the University. Heritage Day is an opportunity for education as well as enjoyment for the members of the OWU family.
